Biography
Huchen Liu, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of political science in UNO’s College of Arts and Sciences. Liu teaches courses on American government, political inquiry and writing, state government and politics, political parties and interest groups.
Liu’s research explores the role of interest groups and lobbying in shaping policy outcomes in American national politics. Liu investigates the dynamics of government and private sectors, analyzing how career transitions influence political decision making. Liu also explores the interactions and power balances among the three branches of government. His research has been featured in publications such as Political Research Quarterly, American Politics Research and Business and Politics.
