Ask Durango is UNO's 24/7 text-based virtual assistant with two important roles: helping you get quick, reliable answers to your UNO questions and checking in with you throughout the semester to see how you're doing. Whether you need help finding a deadline, locating a campus resource, or learning about upcoming events, Durango is here to help.
Behind the scenes, Ask Durango is supported by UNO staff who monitor conversations and can step in when additional assistance is needed. Your text conversations are not anonymous, and while Durango strives for accuracy, mistakes can happen. Ask Durango is currently available to undergraduate students enrolled in classes who have a valid cell phone number on their student account.

- Get answers to hundreds of UNO-related questions instantly.
- Learn about important deadlines, policies, and events.
- Connect with student support services and campus resources.
- Ask Durango will check in on you a couple times a month.
Durango’s goal is to make your UNO experience easier, more connected, and more supportive.
Intro message: Every undergraduate student at UNO will receive a welcome text from Durango at the beginning of each semester.
Ongoing support: After that, Durango will text you during the semester to:
- Check in on how classes are going.
- Share tips and reminders.
- Highlight campus resources and opportunities.
