UNO Students, Faculty, and Staff
UNO students, faculty, and staff are patrons who currently work for, or are enrolled at UNO. These patrons have access to all services offered at Criss Library.
FUSE Program
Special loan privileges are awarded to undergraduate students in the FUSE program with sponsorship by their faculty advisor. Advisors who wish to sponsor a FUSE student must complete an application and submit it to circulation staff.
The loan period for requested items will be reflected in the student's library account and is determined by the length of the grant (maximum two semesters). If items are needed longer than two semesters, a new application will need to be submitted.
Faculty advisors will be responsible for items not returned by the end of the loan period.
Other Schools
High School StudentsHigh school students are welcome to come to the UNO Criss Library to use our resources for academic research, including all of the collections, databases, and Internet access. Students also have access to print and copy services and assistance with research.
High school students can checkout materials only through the High School User Program or via a parent or guardian signing up for a Friends of the Library user account.
- The participating high school appoints a contact person and agrees to be financially responsible for outstanding student financial obligations to the library.
- The students complete a contract that must be signed by the contact person and returned to the library when they register for library privileges.
High school user cards are valid from early September to May 1 and must reapply each year.
The Dual Enrollment program is a cooperative venture between UNO and metropolitan area high schools. This program allows high school students the opportunity to take postsecondary coursework while simultaneously earning UNO college credit AND credit towards high school completion. Dual Enrollment faculty members are considered to be UNO adjunct faculty and will have regular faculty privileges at the library.
Other Colleges' and Universities' Students, Faculty, and Staff
The library has reciprocal borrowing agreements with other academic libraries in Nebraska. These programs allow UNO faculty, staff, and students to check out materials from other cooperating libraries.
