School Library Programs

UNO's College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences offers three graduate degree programs in Literacy, Elementary Education, and Secondary Education with School Library endorsements.

Degrees with a School Library Endorsement

Master of Science in Elementary Education: Online Program or Blended Program

Master of Science in Secondary Education: Online Program or Blended Program

Master of Science in Literacy - Online

School Library Endorsement

Candidates who already have a master's degree can add a school library endorsement for the purpose of directing a school library media program. The school library endorsement consists of 30 hours of library science, literacy and technology coursework.

Accreditation and Certification

The School Library program is nationally recognized by the American Library Association (ALA) through the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and approved by the Nebraska Department of Education.
