The School of Health and Kinesiology (H&K) is dedicated to the vitality of scholarly activity. H&K supports a thriving research and creative activity agenda focused on creating better healthy living opportunities for all.

SoLi Lab for Sexuality and Gender Science

The faculty and students of the SoLi lab study the ideologies and lived experiences of stigmatization, marginalization, and objectification within the context of sexuality and gender.

Physical Activity in Health Promotion Research Group

The Physical Activity in Health Promotion (PAHP) Research Group is dedicated to working with the community to help individuals of all ages be more physically active.

Dr. Danae Dinkel, Dr. Michaela Schenkelberg, and Dr. John Noble

Sports Medicine and Biomechanics Research Lab

The mission of the Sports Medicine and Biomechanics Lab at the University of Nebraska at Omaha is to conduct and disseminate innovative research related to human movement to help reduce injury risk and increase performance in a variety of sports and physical activities.

Lab Co-Directors: Dr. Adam Rosen, Dr. Sam Wilkins, Dr. Chris Burcal, and Dr. Brian Knarr

Vascular and Metabolic Phenotyping Research Lab

The Vascular and Metabolic Phenotyping Research Lab at UNO studies how vascular function is impacted by aging, disease, medical conditions, and environmental stressors. Current research focuses on mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, spinal cord injury, wheelchair athletes, and the effects of environmental stress on the body.
