Annual Topics In Education Symposium (TIES)

Tuesday, January 10, 2023

Online

Time and no-cost registration details to be posted soon.

The mission of the Topics in Education Symposium (TIES) is to foster discussion, inspire innovation, and provide educators with a regional forum to disseminate research findings, share best practices, discuss current educational topics, and provide other innovative thinking and creative activities across all areas of education.

Although we are not meeting in-person at this time, we look forward to connecting with you at TIES in a new online platform later this year. Details are still being determined and we will keep you informed once finalized.

2022 PDK Showcase of Teaching

PDK will collaboratively host the Ed Rising Fall Coonference PDK Showcase of Teaching on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in person on the UNO campus. We anticipate 400+ Educator Rising high school students in attendance. What a bright future for our Nebraska Teacher Pipeline!

At this annual event, Showcase Teachers represent what is good and right in our current PK-12 classrooms and present a classroom lesson several times to different groups of Ed Rising high school students. The purpose of the face-to-face Showcase lessons is to expose Ed Rising high school students to examples of high-quality, engaging, teaching and learning from a variety of subjects, levels, and Nebraska districts.

Nominations for the 2022 Showcase of Teaching will be posted soon.

Presented here as legacy of the pandemic, in the fall of 2020, we were not able to host in-person events due to the pandemic. PDK responded by completing a virtual, asynchronous 2020 PDK Showcase of Teaching video series. Check our the 2020 PDK Showcase of Teaching for Educators Rising Nebraska playlist to celebrate the 2020 Showcase Teachers!
