Previous Phase II Research Projects

COBRE research projects support Junior Investigator's for two to three years. Once funding, such as an NIH R01 is achieved, the research project lead, or Junior Investigator, is no longer a JI. The JI has "graduated" and received independent federal funding.

Dr. Jorge Zuniga was a Junior Investigator on Phase II. During the fall of 2019, he received an NIH R01. His project was replaced by a new research project by Dr. Carolin Curtze.
