Which Visit is Right for You?

Experience UNO

When: Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays at 9 A.M.

Audience: Seniors, Transfer Students, best option for those from out of town

  • Information sessions cover tuition, scholarship info, campus support, the Omaha area, admissions requirements
  • Tour of Dodge Campus
  • Option to add an academic information session
    • Must arrange prior to campus tour

Discover UNO

When: Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 1:30 P.M.

Audience: Juniors, seniors, transfer students — abbreviated tour option for people already familiar with Omaha and the UNO community.

  • Conversation with UNO staff member about tuition, scholarships, etc.
  • Chance to meet a current Maverick
  • Tour of Dodge Campus
  • Optional Scott Campus tour 
    • Optional Scott Campus tour ONLY for students interested in programs housed there (College of Business administration, College of Information Science & Technology, or College of Engineering)

Group Visits

When: Often Tuesdays and Thursdays in the mornings or afternoons (another day may be requested)

Audience: High school groups, middle schoolers, community groups, community colleges, service learning groups

  • Customizable visit
  • Information session “Welcome to UNO” available
  • Dodge Campus tour option
  • Scavenger Hunt option
  • Lunch on Scott or Dodge campus
  • Requests can be made to meet with certain academic programs or organizations on campus

MavWeekender

When: Once or twice a month on Saturdays at 9 A.M.

Audience: Those who can’t make it during week, high school students

  • Dodge campus tour (including Maverick Village dorm tour)
  • An information session covering tuition and scholarship information
  • No academic information session available, but can request a folder with information
  • Scott Campus tour not available during this visit

Grad Tours

When: First Friday of each month at 3 P.M.

Audience: Students interested in a graduate program

  • These tours are in partnership with NSFP and Graduate Admissions
  • Graduate student ambassador gives a tour
  • Graduate Admissions provides informational presentation
  • Includes an academic program meeting either before or after the tour
