Mav Kids Summer Day Camp is a recreational day camp offering seven separate, one-week sessions that provide educational theme-based instruction allowing social interaction of campers with each other and the UNO community. The mission is to provide unique camping experiences within the safety of the UNO campus community, to develop and maintain respect for people, places and objects by developing youth leadership skills, to develop the ability to achieve goals through hands-on learning, communication and team-building activities, and to explore new frontiers.
UNO Student or Campus Rec Member
A $40 deposit is required.
Deposits are non-refundable and are applied to the total cost of the session(s).
Session I - Sports Development
Saturdays from June 30 to July 28, 2018
10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. | 126 H&K, MAC court | Ages 3-5
Session II - Soccer
UNO Mav Kids and the National Alliance of Youth Sports is running two Start Smart Programs this summer: Sports Development and Soccer which are each five-week instructional programs that help parents work one-on-one with their children while teaching them the basics of sports. The Sport Development program will cover throwing, catching, kicking and batting. The soccer will work with techinical basics along with focus on the basics of the sport. Registration price is for child and parent teams (parent must attend and participate with the child).

3:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. | H&K Climbing Wall
Family members 14 years of age and older will participate in the belay class while younger attendees, ages 5 and older, will hang out with our Mav Kids staff until the full group is ready to climb.
Cost is per family so only one per family needs to register.

9:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. | H&K Building
Designed primarily for youth ages 11 and older, this course will prepare students to be better babysitters. Topics include how to provide care for infants and children; how to stay safe; what to do in an emergency; how to choose age-appropriate activities; and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. Students will also learn the basics of starting a babysitting business. This course will provide a certification in basic babysitter training and will include a certification in pediatric CPR/first aid.
