Scott Scholars Scholarship Program

The Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship Program (Scott Scholars) was established in 1997 by the Suzanne & Walter Scott Foundation to challenge high-achieving Engineering and Information Science and Technology students to develop their technical, creative, and leadership skills.

Scott Scholars are enrolled each year in programs of study based within academic programs associated with either the UNL College of Engineering or the UNO College of Information Science & Technology. 

Educating Future STEM Leaders

Students selected to participate in the Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship Program (WSJR) will engage in an enriched undergraduate educational experience that integrates both curricular and co-curricular learning. The challenging program is intended to prepare students with the technical, social, emotional, and problem-solving skills necessary to excel as STEM leaders in their communities and chosen professions.
