Guard and Reserve Academic Excellence Award
Current guard and reserve members eligible for the Chapter 1606 GI Bill and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 will automatically receive an award of $250 deposited to their account each semester.
Online Military Tuition Rate
All Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve members who are Nebraska residents taking online undergraduate courses are eligible to take advantage of the new military tuition rate of $250 a credit hour. To get started, email firstname.lastname@example.org with proof of military service and proof of residency.
Career Paths Learning Community Financial Support
All Career Paths participants will have one certification or license paid or subsidized each semester up to the cost of $500. This opportunity renews every semester. Talk with a Career Paths representative or come to the Office of Military and Veteran Services to learn more.
Career Paths Learning Community Textbook Fund
If you are not requesting a certification or license subsidy in the current semester, you can request textbook support up to $200. Talk with a Career Paths representative or come to the Office of Military and Veteran Services to learn more.
Bachelor of General Studies Fee Support and Textbook Scholarship
This scholarship is for active duty military and their families stationed at Offutt Air Force Base and it can be used towards fees and textbook costs. To apply, contact email@example.com.
Wounded Veterans Scholarship
The University of Nebraska at Omaha Wounded Veterans Scholarship is available to veterans and spouses of veterans that were wounded in combat during Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and New Dawn, and are retired or separated from active service. Find more information here.
