Every week, the SVO partners with Urban Abbey for an hour of conversation, fellowship and camaraderie. Come join fellow students veterans for casual conversation, connection to campus and a cup of coffee!
Veteran Success Group
Every Other Thursday, 12:30 P.M. - 1:30 P.M.
Every other Thursday beginning March 16th, the SVO hosts the UNO Veterans Success Group in partnership with resources from Veteran Affairs and UNO's counseling services. They offer free food at each meeting along with a variety of resources and new connections with peers, staff, and community support.
Be a Leader in SVO
Interested in leading UNO's most active student group? SVO is opening applications for ALL of its officer positions for the 2017-2018 school year including president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and public relations. SVO has one of the largest annual budgets and is one of the most active student groups on campus!
To be eligible for an SVO officer position, you must be a UNO student, an honorably discharged veteran of the Armed Services or be currently serving honorably in any capacity, and hold a GPA of 2.75 or higher. Applications for officer positions are due by April 1, 2017 with all final decisions made by the end of the semester. Officers will assume their roles from summer 2017 through spring 2018.
