The Epidemic Sweeping College Campuses
If you are like most college students as well as me, then you have probably dealt with procrastination at some point in your life. Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean this only happens with school, but that is a huge part of it if you are a student. Dealing with this habit is tough, and even tougher when you go through with it. Procrastination can lead to stress, anxiety, depression, and much more. So, to try and help get rid of this habit, here are some tips to knock procrastination out of the way.
Set Alarms, A Lot of Them
Setting alarms is a great way to discipline yourself into doing assignments. While it can be annoying, it works just as good as your morning alarm. As students, we tend to forget about assignments as well, so this can also be a reminder. Ultimately, setting an alarm does just as well as having someone nagging at you to do your assignments until you do them.
Form Study Groups
Study groups are a great way to keep yourself in line. This is because you are a part of a team effort to stay up to date with material, study hard, and share information with your group.
However, make sure to pick people that you know would stay on task and not drag you down!
Make A To-do List
Making a list of things to do serves as a calendar of upcoming assignments and it makes you want to cross them off your list. As a person that lives off of these lists, it has been one of the biggest reasons I am getting rid of procrastinating.
