Zander is from Morse Bluff, NE, and is studying IT Innovation, computer science, screenwriting, and theater. His non-profit experience includes partnering with the AIM Institute. As a community action project, his team developed a video marketing campaign and an educational video game to encourage student participation. The team also evaluated the Heartland Developer Conference and made recommendations on how to smoothly transition to a digital format. His internship experience includes working as a software development specialist at Union Pacific. In this role, he perfected his coding skills in Java, AngularJS, and PL/SQL. He was assigned various small projects and worked with the Railcar Maintenance Data Management team. This summer, he will be working at UNO in New Student and Family Programs as an ambassador and video editor. His career interests include interactive arts, video games, storytelling, and more traditional forms of art. He hopes to discover how to utilize technology in a fun and exciting new way.
