Will is from Omaha, NE, and is studying electrical engineering. His non-profit experience includes partnering with Prairie STEM. As part of a community action project, his team developed a functional app with PDF instructions for at-home STEM kits for students without adequate internet access. His leadership experience includes serving as the project manager for several organizations, developing robot frames, volunteering for the Prairie STEM esports team, and researching for the biomechanics department. His internship experience includes working at Stembot Inc as a designer for the educational robotics company, developing new technology to bring to market to increase robot functionality. This summer, he hopes to obtain an electrical engineering internship at OPPD. He will also continue his work in the Biomechanics Lab as a research assistant to Dr. Jorge Zuniga on the hybrid prosthetic arm project. The project includes developing better hybrid prosthetic devices using 3D modeling and printing. He has received a NASA Space Grant to continue to fund this research project. His career interests include robotics development, computer hardware engineering, and electronics development.
