Solana is from Lincoln, NE, and is studying architectural engineering and mathematics. Her non-profit experience includes partnering with RISE, a prison reentry program whose goal is to help people find freedom from cycles of incarceration. As a community action project, her team is developing a networking app that will help RISE alumni connect with possible employers, locate housing, and remain connected with each other. They are also working on a research project to compile a packet of information to send to the alumni to assist them with pitching business ideas. Her leadership experience includes being an active member of the Architectural Engineering Student Leadership and Advisory Committee. Through this organization, she works to represent and connect students to faculty and the surrounding industry community. She is also a member of the Engineering Ambassador Network, a program that works diligently to encourage students K-12 to redefine the conventional ideas surrounding science, technology, engineering, and math. Her internship experience includes working for White Lotus Group as a project management intern. Solana's career interests include architectural engineering and hopes to work with sustainable design concepts to positively impact the world.
