Bio
Ryan is from Omaha, NE, and is studying architectural engineering. His non-profit experience includes partnering with the Omaha Street School. As part of a community action project, his team works with students to educate them about empathy and relationship building through Stanford's Design Thinking. His leadership experience includes being an active member of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute. His internship experience includes working as a field office intern for Kiewit on the Seminole Combined Cycle Facility project in Palatka, FL. In this role, he ordered materials, mapped excavation, and completed material takeoffs. This summer, he will be working at DLR Group as a structural design intern. His research experience includes participating in a project with Dr. Bora Palutsu, where he will be studying the damage progression in masonry walls within the Omaha area. His career interests include structural engineering, specializing in buildings and bridges.
