Julia is from Lincoln, NE and is studying architectural engineering. Her leadership experience includes serving as editor-in-chief of the Lincoln East student newspaper during the 2020/2021 school year. In this role, she worked with editors and staff to develop story assignments, lead discussions, and stay on top of deadlines. She provided feedback for improving staffers' news and feature stories for the online newspaper and the magazine print edition. She was also in charge of publishing all of the articles on the newspaper's website. Her career interests include sustainable housing solutions, focusing on the design and construction of tiny house communities. She is passionate about the environment and hopes to use her knowledge as an engineer to use limited space and material resources to their maximum capacity.
