Jackson is from Omaha, NE and is studying physics. He was the bass drum section leader for the Millard West drumline, where he organized sectionals, wrote warm-ups and exercises, and offered help to both the varsity and junior varsity bass drum lines. He received the Michael Bebout "Spirit of the Band" award for his work. He served as an intern at the Scott Scholar Design Studio, where his team worked on solutions to break down language barriers between patients and doctors. He was responsible for researching University of Nebraska Medical Center services, comparing and contrasting local hospitals, and interviewing both doctors and patients about the translation process. His career interests include physics, with an emphasis on education. He aims to become a physics teacher.
