Experiences and Involvement
Hailey interned with Fiserv to analyze a customer service call dataset for trends and insights into improving the customer experience. She also participated in a Research Experience for Undergraduates, where she evaluated a machine learning algorithm that classified beef cuts on a mobile application. Hailey currently designs websites for local businesses in Omaha through the IS&T Attic.
Her non-profit experience includes partnering with RISE, an organization that connects prisoners to stable jobs and housing upon re-entry into society. As a community action project, her team assembled a toolkit for participants to develop their ideas and gather information to pitch business ideas.
She has served as a representative for the Scott Scholars Leadership Council, where she co-leads design thinking demonstrations, interviews candidates, and further develops the Scott Scholars Ambassador program. She also serves as the chapter secretary for Future Business Leaders of America - Collegiate, where she equips members to be an asset in the business world.
Career Interests
Her career interests include using artificial intelligence to create a positive change in the world. She hopes to apply computer science to fields such as mental health, agriculture, and health care to help those in need.
