Crispin is from Lincoln, NE, and is study electrical engineering, mathematics, and computer science. His non-profit experience includes partnering with the Smart Gen Society. As a community action project, his team developed an app that incentivized reducing the usage of a user's phone in the hour before bedtime. His leadership experience includes being an active member of numerous student councils across the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Through these experiences, he gained experience in both managing teams and being a supportive team member, improving his time management and event planning skills, as well as better leveraging his listening and communication skills. His internship experience includes interning for the Scott Scholars Design Studio as a project lead, where he developed proficiency in mobile application development using Apple’s Swift programming language and improved his leadership, organization, and communication skills. This knowledge led to the development of a platform connecting students, faculty, and organizations that augments experiential learning for students, and additionally benefits faculty and organizations. Concurrently, he worked at STEMBoT, Inc. as an Application Engineer. He is currently working at Union Pacific as a telecommunications and engineering intern. In this role, he gained experience working with networking protocols and understanding how networks are designed on a large scale. Additionally, he had the opportunity to develop management software for multiple devices, particularly EOT repeaters. His career interests research and development in communication and signal processing.
