Bio
CJ is from Bennet, NE, and is studying computer science and cybersecurity. Her non-profit experience includes partnering with Omaha by Design. As part of a community action project, her team was tasked with creating a way for residents to give input on the design of Omaha. They proposed an idea using Trek Points, which are QR codes that will be placed around Omaha. They are connected to unique surveys for that location to provide feedback to help bridge the gap between designers and the users of spaces. Her leadership experience includes mentoring new interns at Mutual of Omaha. In this role, she assists with onboarding new interns by teaching them company applications. Her internship experience includes working at Mutual of Omaha as a year-round I/S intern. In this role, she has been working on standing up a new application for the Disability Income Project. This application has included several projects that require her to use the Quote tool, Eapp, and the Producer Dashboard. She uses a variety of languages/tools, such as Java, Javascript, Vuejs, Mulesoft, Gradle, Groovy, and AWS. Her career interests include software development, eventually earning a leadership or management role in the I/S department.
