Anna is from Lincoln, NE, and is studying architectural engineering. Her non-profit experience includes partnering with the Smart Gen Society. As a community action project, her team is creating an app for parents and children to open up a line of communication and foster a sense of respect between both parties. Her leadership experience includes serving as the philanthropy vice president for the Gamma Delta chapter of Alpha Xi Delta. In this position, she led the council and planned multiple events throughout the semester to raise over $7000 for Autism Speaks. She also served as a member of the Scott Scholars Leadership Council, where she worked to advance and improve the Scott Scholars program with a focus on whole-person development. Her internship experience includes serving as a project lead intern with the Design Studio Internship Program this summer. In that role, she and her team utilized design thinking to reform and redesign the Scott Scholars program, as well as higher education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. As project lead, she was responsible for leading and planning daily team meetings, as well as delegating and overseeing the multiple stages of design thinking. This summer, she is working with Morrisey Engineering as an electrical and lighting intern. Her career interests include architectural engineering, with a focus on electrical and lighting design.
