Holland Community Ice at Baxter Arena
UNO's Baxter Arena - Holland Community Ice offers free open ice skating to UNO students, faculty and staff with their MavCARD.
Students can also bring non-students for a $5.00 fee and a $3.00 skate rental fee.

Holland Community Ice still offers regular public skating, however, students, faculty and staff must pay the general admission price of $5.00 and a $3.00 skate rental fee.
UNMC Ice Rink
UNMC would also like UNO students, faculty and staff to know the UNMC ice skating rink is open to them for free with their MavCARD.
The UNMC Ice Rink will open Friday, Nov. 30 and will remain open through Sunday, Feb. 10.
The rink is located just east of 42nd Street, midway between Emile Street and Dewey Avenue on the north side of the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education.
Students, faculty and staff are allowed to bring any guests for a general admission fee of $7.00. The general admission fee also includes the skate rental.
Hours of operation are:
- Monday – 11 A.M. - 8 P.M.
- Tuesday – 11 A.M. - 1 P.M.
- Wednesday – 11 A.M. - 1 P.M.
- Thursday – 11 A.M. - 1 P.M.
- Friday and Saturday – 11 A.M. to 10 P.M.
- Sunday – 11 A.M. to 8 P.M.
Anytime the weather is consistently above 50 degrees or there’s a wind-chill of zero degrees or below, people should check to see if the rink is open by visiting the rink's Facebook page or by calling 402.559.0697.
Free parking is available in Lot 15 (surface lot on 40th Street between Dewey Avenue and Emile Street) located on the north and east sides of the UNMC Center for Healthy Living.
