Parking guidelines on campus will be less restrictive this year as Parking and Transportation Services and campus administrators recognize the de-densified nature of campus operations due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic, resulting in an increase in available parking spaces for students, faculty, staff and guests.
As we approach the Spring 2021 semester, students, faculty, and staff should consider if purchasing a semester, daily, or other permit type will be needed for classes or other campus activities.
More information about permits can be found on the Parking Services website. Permits for spring and summer can be purchased starting Monday, Dec. 14, through MavPARK.
New Permit Information for 2020-2021
Please note, 2020-2021 academic year permit restrictions will be different.
In this academic year ONLY, all Faculty/Staff, Student, and Resident permits are valid for ANY Faculty/Staff or Student surface lot or garage in "General-Use" parking spaces.
Resident lots, Visitor lots and Park Omaha two-hour timed lots are exempt and will continue to be enforced.
Reserved, ADA, motorcycle, compact, EV Charging and loading zone spaces will be enforced.
To log in to MavPARK, you will need your NetID and password. Please also have the make, model, color, and license plate number of your vehicle ready before purchasing the permit. If you do not have plates, please contact Parking Services to record your full VIN at 402.554.PARK (7275).
Parking Services operates with virtual parking permits. The permit you purchase will be linked to your license plate(s). Because of this, accuracy of vehicle registration is essential to avoid a violation. Ensure that you also link your vehicle(s) to your new permit, after purchase, while logged in your account.
Daily/hourly permits are also available in select locations using the Park Omaha App or kiosks located in eligible lots. Park Omaha zone numbers can be found posted in the eligible lots.
