Le Cong Tien is Counselor and Chief Economic Officer for the Vietnamese Embassy in the United States. Born in Vietnam, Le Cong received a Bachelors in Economics from Hanoi National University in 1995 and a Masters of International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University in 2002. He served as desk officer at the Americas Department, MOFA of Vietnam from 1996-2001, desk officer at the Americas Department, MOFA, 2002-2004, Second Secretary to the Vietnamese Embassy in Panama, 2004-2008, and Director and Assistant Director General, Americas Department, MOFA, 2008-2015.
