UNO Bookstore Updates: Spring Textbooks, Buybacks, and Rental Returns
Both textbook purchases and buybacks are completely virtual. Rental returns must be done by appointment only. Students can take advantage of no-cost shipping for purchases or sales for a limited time.

All Spring textbook purchases for 2021 will need to be shipped (no in-store pickup or in-store purchases).

The UNO Bookstore Storefront
The UNO Bookstore storefront will allow 25 people max occupancy to shop in-store (again, no textbooks will be available for purchase in-store). Masks ARE required. Please maintain six feet of space to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Check what your book is worth online
The UNO Bookstore has partnered with Nebraska Book Company, one of the nation's largest used textbook buyers, to pay you top dollar for your books.
For the best prices you should sell your textbooks during Prep (Dec. 7-11) and Finals (Dec. 14-18) weeks.
Nebraska Book Company covers shipping, so there’s no cost to you. All you have to do is search for the books you want to sell back on the UNO Bookstore website, print a prepaid label, and ship back your books:
- Enter ISBNs of the books you want to sell back
- Print the page as your receipt and place inside a box
- Download and print the pre-paid shipping label
- Pack and ship the books at your nearest post office
All books MUST be in good condition to receive full credit.

Textbook Rental Returns by Appointment Only
Due to COVID-19 and the safety of our bookstore staff, cashier windows will remain open for one guest per window for a 10-minute appointment slot during normal business hours; however, we will be available for assistance at the UNO Bookstore.

Open: Mondays - Thursdays; 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. and Fridays; 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. Holiday Closedown starts Thursday, Dec. 24 and we will reopen Monday, January 4th
Book an Appointment
Please book an appointment for returning your textbook rental. If you are unable to book an appointment online, please call us at 402.554.2336 and we will assist with getting an appointment entered. Appointments will take priority over walk-ins during this time.
Preparing for your Face-to-Face Appointment
Please bring your textbook rentals and MavCARD with you to handle your return. In order to protect the health and safety of all, our staff will be wearing masks during your face-to-face scheduled session. We request that you also wear a mask and practice appropriate social distancing during the visit. Inside the UNO Bookstore, there is a 25-person max capacity.
Upon entering Milo Bail Student Center, you will need to visit with the front desk attendant who will verify your 1-Check UNO app status. If you are unable to wear a mask, the attendant will ask you to reschedule and you will need to leave the building.
If you are uncomfortable with visiting our staff in person, please let us know ASAP.
