The start of a new academic year and a return to more traditional on-campus activities calls for a celebration.
A Convocation celeberation for our students has been a UNO tradition for a number of years and is one that many colleges and universities around the country hold each year.
This year we will be welcoming our entire student body to celebrate with UNO faculty and staff at UNO's own Tal Anderson Field, located west of Baxter Arena on UNO's Scott Campus.
UNO Convocation will take place Sunday, Aug. 22, at 8 P.M. at Tal Anderson Field. Attendees will receive a free, limited-edition UNO baseball cap, have the chance to meet fellow students, hear more about what UNO has planned for the fall, and experience a one-of-a-kind fireworks show.
Due to limited seeing at Tal Anderson Field, please RSVP to attend Convocation by Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 11:59 P.M. to ensure your spot, swag, and snacks at the event.
NOTE: When completed, the Eventbrite form will issue you a ticket, which serves as your RSVP and provides contactless entry into the event. If you have family who would like to attend with you, please have them RSVP individually with the "Student Ticket" option to secure their virtual ticket.
At MavFEST you will be able to learn about student involvement opportunities in the new year; information about student organizations, colleges, and departments; and get giveaways from local vendors.
But that's not all - be sure to stop by for awesome music, fun interactive inflatables, and snacks, as well.
Please review the current mask policy for campus.
For baseball field seating, convocation attendees will be ushered to their seats by staff who will manage social distancing requirements for the event. Therefore, please arrive with the people you are socially distancing with so you may be seated together.
