The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) invites new and returning part-time faculty to join us for two interactive, online orientation sessions during the week of Aug. 10.
Resources highlighted in these meetings will be made available via the Center for Faculty Excellence web site.
Questions should be directed to the Center for Faculty Excellence at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Session 1 | Monday, Aug. 10
Learn more about UNO students and the academic and co-curricular supports available to help you create exceptional educational experiences. The Digital Learning team will demonstrate basic Canvas functions: posting a syllabus, organizing your course, and creating initial assignments. Other resources to support your teaching strategies will be shared. Several opportunities to ask questions and make further connections with your colleagues will be provided.
Session 2 | Thursday, Aug. 13
This second session features additional support resources and a deeper dive into Canvas. Topics of interaction and discussion as well as assessment functions in Canvas (assignments, quizzes, and grading) will be covered. Bring your questions for our “Ask Me Anything” segment.
