Free foot long hot dogs, cotton candy, chips, and drinks while enjoying outdoor games, Airbrush tattoos, a balloon artist, carnival games, and a roving magician. Win a variety of MavSwag items, including Durango Days t-shirts, flip flops, and more . Bring your Mavcard to swipe.

Free walking taco lunch. Look for the Stilt-walkers, caricature artists, and outdoor games. Grab a bag of flavored popcorn from the Office of Spirit and Tradition table and play. Bring your MavcCARD to swipe.
Jobs and Java
2 P.M.–4 P.M. | Maverick Landing
Fuel up with free coffee samples from the Campus Grind and learn how to search for part-time jobs and internships. The first 100 students to activate their Handshake account will win a free t-shirt.
Wings and Things with Student Government
5 P.M.–7 P.M. | DJ’s Dugout – Aksarben Village
Grab some free food and learn more about Student Government and how to get involved on-campus. Durango Days t-shirts will be given out to the first 100 students.
Free Night at the Cinema
6 P.M.–8 P.M. | Aksarben Cinema
The first 500 students to show their MavCARD get a free movie ticket. Movie ticket must be used before close of business today.

First National Bank Student Involvement Fair

Free old school pizza…just like we had it in high school. Check out over 200 student organizations. Look for the Student Involvement tent to snag a UNO reusable grocery bag to put your goodies in from the Involvement Fair. (Rain location is H&K 128).
UNO Spirit Day

Join the Office of Spirit and Tradition for Spirit Day! This pep-rally/tailgate event provides you with a sneak peak into the UNO game-day experience, a chance to compete against Division I Athletes for prizes, and FREE food and MavSwag. Grab a sports poster, interact with the players & coaches, take pictures with Durango, Cheer Team, and Dance Team, play yard games, and show most importantly show your #MavSpirit!

Late Night Target Shopping

Target is throwing a college shopping event just for you. Shop for last minute essentials and finishing touches for your housing. UNO and UNMC students are invited to attend. Bring your MavCARD for access. Free snacks, food, music, giveaways, and more. Free bus shuttles from Maverick Village and Scott Crossing will run from 9:30 P.M. to 12:30 A.M. continuously.

Get to Know the O Community Expo
11 A.M.–1 P.M. | 128 H&K Gym
Interact with Omaha businesses, non-profits, restaurants, UNO departments, student services, and community partners. Features great giveaways, food, and swag.
11 A.M.– 1 P.M. | H&K Building Plaza
Come by and learn more from representatives about all the sustainable transportation options available on campus, including Heartland B-Cycle, Carpooling, Campus Shuttles, and the Emergency Ride Home Program. One of the Omaha Metro Transit Buses will be on campus so you can see how easy it is to take advantage of the free MavRIDE program offered to all active students, faculty, and staff. Come by and register a bicycle and receive a 20% off coupon to UNO’s Bookstore that you can use to purchase a U-Lock.
4 P.M.–6 P.M. | Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom
Free food and fun. Hosted by the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center, LGBTQIA+ Task Force, and Queer and Trans Services student agency. This event encourages any lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans spectrum, queer spectrum, intersex, and/or asexual spectrum and ally persons in the UNO community (student, faculty, staff) to join in the fun.
Maverick Productions Presents: #GLOatUNO

Maverick Day of Service
8:30 A.M. (check-in) - 2 P.M. (check-out) | Community Engagement Center
Maverick Day of Service is an opportunity for the UNO community (students, staff, and faculty) to join hands and complete service projects in support of the Omaha metropolitan community. Service projects will help the community at large, and those who participate can choose from a variety of service projects during check-in. Please make sure to dress to get dirty and make a difference. We will have free breakfast and lunch available to all volunteers. Check out our Facebook page for an updated list of our nonprofit partners. Not available the whole day? Stop in the Office of Civic & Social Responsibility (OCSR) anytime during the day to complete a service project in the office.
