Volunteer at the Farmers Market
The Omaha Farmers Market is an essential business (like grocery stores) and was permitted to open by the Douglas County Health Director as they provide fresh fruits, vegetables, etc for the Omaha Community. To regulate crowd control and to ensure all COVID-19 health guidelines are followed, volunteers are needed to make this a safe event for attendees.
By volunteering, you will make it possible for the community to support local growers and businesses, and help to provide access to fresh, local, healthy food. Virtual Training will occur prior to volunteer shifts, covering guidelines. (Ex: Volunteers will wear face masks) Volunteer T-Shirts will be provided.
If possible, volunteers supporting multiple Farmers Market Weekends will ensure that this event is consistent week to week. Volunteers will help direct traffic flow, assist with parking and support with admitting customers into the market. Minimum age to volunteer is 19 years old.
