The College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media and the UNO School of Music invite you to join the University Band and the Symphonic Wind Ensemble for an exciting evening of music by Saucedo, Biedenbender, Perrine, Puts, Bernstein and others.
Featured on the program will be the world premiere of 'Weird Birds' by Dr. Seth Shafer, UNO Assistant Professor of Music Technology. Also featured will be a work by Amy Dunker, which is being presented as part of the 'And We Were Heard' initiative; an international diversity project connecting underrepresented composers with collaborating ensembles toward the goal of recording the composers’ work and overcome systemic barriers to access.
Conductors on the program include Dr. Karen Fannin, Dr. Joshua Kearney, and graduate conductor Cassie Rathman.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for students and seniors, and free with a MavCard.
