Interested faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the free Vital Signs of Advocacy: Health Policy Conference on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Hosted by two student groups -- Primary Care Progress and UNMC Student Delegates -- the free event will run from 10 A.M. - 3 P.M. on the UNMC campus (location to be announced one week prior to the event).
Attendees will learn from government leaders and hospital officials about:
- Medicaid expansion
- Ballot initiatives
- Current legislative issues
- Mechanisms of government
- How to be a health care advocate
