Starting Jan. 1, 2020, the University of Nebraska will be offering an employer-sponsored Health Savings Account (HSA) option.
Employees must be enrolled in the University’s qualified high deductible health plan to take advantage of the HSA. The HSA will allow an employee to set aside personal pre-tax dollars into an HSA to be used for qualified medical expenses. All employees have the opportunity to make changes to their benefits during our annual benefits enrollment which will begin Oct. 28 and end Nov. 15.
Would you like to learn more? Please attend our HSA Information Session, which will be held on Oct. 14 from 1 P.M. - 2:30 P.M. in the MBSC Omaha Room (3rd Floor) or you can watch it from your office/desk. This will be a live Zoom session from UNL. No registration is required to attend or watch online. The session will be recorded and posted to the benefits website for future viewing.
