The Nebraska Medical Orchestra (NMO), under the direction of UNO Director of Orchestras Matthew Brooks, will perform in UNMC's Buffett Cancer Center lobby on Tuesday, April 9 at 12:30 P.M.
Created in 2018 as a collaborative project between UNMC and the UNO School of Music, the Nebraska Medical Orchestra is comprised of students, faculty, and staff from UNMC and Nebraska Medicine with the support of UNO School of Music faculty and students as mentors.
This smaller chamber performance will feature UNMC physicians Sarah Holstein and Melinda Chen on flutes with UNO violin faculty member Mary Perkinson alongside the orchestra performing Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4. Also featured with the NMO will be guest soloist Kristin Jonina Taylor, UNO piano faculty, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 4.
This free lunchtime concert is open to the public.
