Have you ever watched a show like "Dancing With the Stars" and thought, "Man, that’s impressive?" Join the members of Dance Floor UNO on Friday, Aug. 24 in rooms 201 and 203 of the Milo Bail Student Center for a fun-filled evening of swing-dancing, featuring a playlist of modern and classic tunes.
The evening will start at 7 P.M. with a free lesson, to give newcomers some moves to work with. After the lesson, around 8 P.M., the open dancing portion of the evening will begin. Everyone is encouraged to dance with someone they've never met, or dance with their significant other if they prefer. As the evening progresses, club members will teach additional styles of ballroom dance depending on attendees’ level of interest.
Single-time swing is a lively, simple, and impressive-looking dance style that’s especially friendly to newcomers. There are snacks and refreshments available to those taking a break, and there’s no pressure to perform. All are welcome, and we look forward to meeting you.
