UNO Bands Presents “Inspired: Song and Dance”
The UNO Bands will present a concert on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Strauss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.
This concert will include performances by the University Band and the Symphonic Wind Ensemble featuring Symphonic Dances from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein and portions of Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. Also on the program will be faculty soloists Shelby VanNordstrand and Kyle Stegall, voice, as well as Christine Erlander Beard, flute and Jordan McDugle, a flute student of Beard.
Conductors on the program include Dr. Karen Fannin, Director of Bands and Dr. Joshua Kearney, Director of Athletic Bands. Graduate conducting assistant Jess Watson will guest conduct.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for students and seniors, and free with a MavCard.
