What is CERT?
Community Emergency Response Team The CERT program educates people about disaster preparedness. People who attend training will acquire basic disaster response skills, including:
- Fire safety
- Light search and rescue
- Team organization
- Disaster medical operations Using the training, CERT members can assist in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available.
