The Center for Faculty Excellence will sponsor a workshop “Grading versus Assessment” on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, from 3:00 – 4:30 P.M. in the MBSC Dodge Room.
It has been said that grading is not the same as assessment. If that is so, then what is the purpose of grading? Conversely, what is the purpose of assessment? What is the connection between grading and assessment?
Join us in exploring these questions at an interactive session led by Dr. Mary Ann Danielson, Associate Vice Provost for Academic Excellence and Assessment at Creighton University.
Through hands-on activities and examples, participants will learn more about how grading can be useful in the assessment process.
