The UNO community is invited to a special recognition event honoring Sara Woods, director of the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center, on Monday, March 20, with special guest Nebraska Congressman Don Bacon.
An open reception will be held in Rooms 201, 205, an 209 of the Weitz CEC from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served.
In honor of Women's History Month, Rep. Bacon recently honored Woods on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives for her commitment to the state.
"Sara’s passion for volunteerism led to her crucial involvement in the creation of numerous service organizations whose purpose is to equip, train and encourage young men and women to serve their communities,” said Congressman Bacon. “We would all do well to adopt her inspiring passion for public service."
