On March 19, UNO will be adding a layer of security to the way you log into the VPN. UNO will begin using two-factor authentication to provide extra protection to the network. Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security to your VPN account. Verifying your identity using a second factor (like your smartphone or other mobile device) prevents anyone but you from logging in, even if they know your password. You can read more about the setup of two-factor authentication at https://guide.duo.com/
UNO will be using DUO to provide two-factor authentication to UNO users. After March 19, the first time you log in to the VPN (vpn.unomaha.edu), you will be prompted to setup your DUO account.
Once you setup DUO, each time you log into the VPN, you will be prompted for your second factor of authentication.
If you have any questions or problems getting logged in, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
