The University of Nebraska at Omaha Theatre presents a student-directed show, The Shape of Things, directed by undergrad Geran Ramet, written by Neil LaBute. Preview nights will be January 10 and 11 at 7:30 P.M. Tag Nite Out will be January 10. The show will run January 12 – 14 at 7:30 P.M., and January 15 at 2:00 P.M. in 006 Weber Fine Arts Building.
The Shape of Things, a contemporary story of love and art set in a college town, follows the steadily intensifying relationship between Evelyn and Ada. As Evelyn strengthens her hold on Ada, her emotional and physical evolution discomforts her friends Jenny and Phillip, with unexpected consequences for all.
When asked why college students should see this show, Geran said, “These characters onstage are people that college students will recognize in their own lives and they are characters that they will relate to. Also the things that are happening onstage and the ideas that this production will be talking about are ideas that I would like to believe go through every college students mind at least once in their time in the academic setting.”
The cast includes: Deirdre Burgdorf as Evelyn, Jessie Curry as Ada, Michael Castillo as Phillip, and Katie Otten as Jenny. For more information about UNO Theatre, please contact Katie Otten at firstname.lastname@example.org
