A new school year means new opportunities, new connections, and new ways to show off your Maverick Spirit!

With another Durango Days in the books, it’s worth looking back and reflecting on an amazing first week of the Fall 2022 semester.

Whether it was Maverick Move-In, MavFEST, live mixes in the Pep Bowl from Alyssa and Mr. West of 106.9 FM, watching the classic “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” at MavPro "Movie Night in the Courtyard," or catching the Men's Soccer game at Caniglia Field, you showed up, had fun, and supercharged our campus’ energy!

In the weeks ahead we hope you’ll find your home away from home here at UNO.

Stay engaged with all our campus events throughout the year by exploring our Events Calendar and checking your email for the student Bullseye newsletter or, if you are an employee, the Maverick Daily.

Want to get involved on campus? Explore student organizations on Presence.

Remember in the weeks ahead to keep your head high, dream daringly, and have fun.

Here’s to a great fall semester, Mavericks!

A Look Back

Had a great time at Durango Days? Tag us at @unomaha on social media and share your memories from some of last week’s events:

🤘 MavFEST and Convocation

Free food, entertainment, and fireworks! MavFEST and Convocation was a great chance to hear from UNO Chancellor Joanne Li about the opportunities in the year ahead and practice the UNO fight song!

🎵 Power 106.9 with Alyssa and Mr. West

Mavericks joined Alyssa and Mr. West from Power 106.9 for two afternoons of live mixing, giveaways, and meet and greets in the Pep Bowl.

🚚 Free Lunch Food Trucks

Sponsored by the Office of Student Involvement, four food trucks arrived in force on campus to provide a mid-week break and refresher as Mavericks got to chow down on some amazing local offerings.

⚽ Pregame Party Before Omaha Men's Soccer vs. Rutgers

Omaha Athletics provided the food and fun to kick off the fall sports season in style.

🎤 GLO with MavPro

When the beat goes hard, we dance! An amazing, kinetic experience with a live DJ and glow-in-the-dark paint everywhere, there is no question Mavericks can play hard as well as work hard.
