The University of Nebraska System has updated its 2022–2025 holiday schedule to include Juneteenth as a floating holiday. Juneteenth celebrates the commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.
Floating holidays are federal holidays during which the UNO campus remains open. Eligible employees can elect to take the day off with pay, or choose to work the floating holidays - saving the paid time for the annual closedown period.
