The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Monday, Jan. 24, in memory of UNO retiree Ruth Manning.
Ruth passed away on Jan. 7, 2022, at the age of 83. Ruth worked at UNO from 1986 until her retirement in 1999. While at UNO, she worked as a staff assistant for University Affairs and University Relations.
Ruth is survived by her children, David (Lisa) and Jody (Brian) Manning; grandchildren: Lauren, Cate, Sean, Colin, Aliya, and Zach; sibling: Orla (Loren) Maahs, Alan (Pat) Hoff, and Herb (Marge) Hoff. She was preceded in death by parents Orwell and Marion Hoff, and husband, Dan.
