Each Spring, a UNO faculty member is recognized with the "Outstanding Innovation in Teaching with Technology Award." Sponsored by Information Technology Services, the award honors faculty who have implemented outstanding innovative teaching approaches shown to enhance student learning, engagement and success. Innovative teaching is defined broadly and may include:
- The use of new instructional technologies, the use of traditional technologies in creative ways.
- The adoption of teaching strategies that scale through the use of technology.
- The adoption of tools or integrations that engage students in the learning process.
We are accepting nominations through Friday, April 24. Nominate using this brief form.
There is so much incredible, highly-innovative work being done as more and more faculty teach with technology in the classroom, through short-term remote learning, and in fully online instruction. Help us recognize these efforts!
The award will be presented at the upcoming virtual Digital Learning Showcase on Wednesday, April 29 from 3 - 5 P.M. At the Digital Learning Showcase, faculty give short presentations highlighting key practices from their digital course activities and facilitate discussions with fellow faculty members.
