The Academic & Career Development Center (ACDC) will be hosting the Spring 2019 All-Majors Career & Internship Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Baxter Arena. Over 130 employers – many of which plan to hire from any major - will be in attendance. This is a great opportunity for students to connect with organizations actively recruiting interns and full-time positions from diverse industries and backgrounds.
Knowing that students value faculty and staff input, ACDC has created a faculty career fair challenge. This challenge provides faculty with three easy-to-implement tactics to promote the Spring Career & Internship Fair:
Welcome ACDC for a Short Classroom Presentation
We welcome the opportunity to give a 5 - 10 minute overview to your course about the career fair, ACDC services and how students can best prepare. Please let us know if there is a date between Jan. 28 – Feb. 26 that would work for us to come to your classroom for a brief presentation by emailing email@example.com or filling out this online form.
Host your Class at the Fair
If your course meets on Wednesday, Feb. 27 between 11 A.M. and 3 P.M., we invite faculty/staff to hold your class at the Fair! Free parking and shuttles to Baxter are available. Many faculty have used this option in the past for an abbreviated lecture and then let students attend the fair and connect the classroom to careers. Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org to get your space reserved in the Baxter Arena seats.
PowerPoint Slide to be Featured Before the Start of Class
We know that classroom time is limited. We also know that students often arrive to class early. ACDC is willing to provide a one-slide image that faculty can embed in classroom presentations leading up to the career fair.
Please contact the Academic & Career Development Center to get started at email@example.com.
