The University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) is the return sponsor for the Omaha Farmers Market in Aksarben Village, and Monday Night at the Movies in Midtown Crossing. The univeristy’s sponsorship at these events makes free table opportunities available to UNO campus units and departments.
Omaha Farmers Market
Sundays, May 7 – October 15 | 8 A.M. – 1 P.M.
The Omaha Farmers Market at Aksarben Village runs every Sunday, from May 7 through October 15, from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. The university’s sponsorship includes a table space every Sunday for a campus unit or department to share information to market attendees. The Office of University Communications will provide free giveaways each week, including reusable bags and stickers, plus a tent and table. Each unit or department is welcome to share any additional information or additional free promotional items with attendees. Each unit or department will be responsible for staffing the table (8 A.M. to 1 P.M.), in addition to transporting, setting up, and tearing down the provided tent and table (table must be set up in assigned location by 8 A.M.). Campus units may sign up for one or two dates until all dates are filled.
Monday Night at the Movies
Mondays, June 5 – July 31 | 5 P.M. – 10 P.M.
Monday Night at the Movies at Midtown Crossing runs June 5 through July 31 (the park opens at 5 P.M. with films typically begin around 7:30 P.M.). The university’s sponsorship includes a table every Monday evening beginning at 5 P.M. running until the end of that evening’s film (ending approximately at 10 P.M. each night). At the table, you may pass out recruitment or promotional items related to your campus unit or department. Tables and tents are provided at this event, so no set-up or tear down is required. Campus units may sign up for one or two dates until all dates are filled. The full schedule of films will be shared in the Maverick Daily.
If you are interested in one or both of these free table opportunities for your campus unit or department, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your unit/department’s name, primary contact person’s name/email, and date(s) of interest. The team will follow up with confirmation of dates and will provide additional details the week before your table date(s).
