Whether you are an aspiring or seasoned supervisor or you just want to refine your already-in-practice supervisory skills, The Nebraska Certified Public Manager® Program is for you. Presented by the School of Public Administration, this flexible program offers options to help you meet your personal and professional goals.
The CPM program is based on the assumption that well-trained managers provide better service to the public and manage their employees more effectively. The program’s primary goal is to foster and encourage the highest possible levels of performance and ethical practice of managers in order to continuously improve the performance of the university.
The CPM program offers a comprehensive course of study by which managers can acquire and apply best practices and theory to their leadership and management of people, processes, and organizations. The course of study is designed to address competencies that facilitate exceptional job performance and organizational success. The curriculum applies theory to practical problems facing the participant, their agency/department/organization, and citizens.
Applications for the 2016 cohort is limited. We don’t want you or your employees to miss this opportunity; the program won’t be offered again until January 2017.
