This event, the American Veteran Trust conference (AVTc), will take place at UNO on November 11th, 2013, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Milo Bail Student Center Nebraska Room.
There will be opportunities to interact with potential employers, so attendees should bring an updated copy of their resume and contact information, in addition to any questions, concerns, ideas, and contact information. There will also be opportunities for attendees to interact with numerous military and veteran organizations.
The event hopes to:
Honor all who served. Attendees will celebrate the commitments and sacrifices made by our veterans, our current military, and their loved ones.
Provide resources. The event will aim to equip our military and veteran community with an awareness of the available tools and resources that are at their disposal. These resources include education, employment, finance, healthcare, and community service.
Stimulate community cooperation. Promote interest, encourage participation, and develop perpetual relationships. This will assist in building an interwoven community of current military personnel, veterans, and regional organizations from which all can support and benefit.
